The Fragrance

Vanilla absolute reveals a deeply creamy, gourmand fragrance with a rich balsamic sweetness, pronounced chocolate nuances, and a subtle tobacco-like warmth. Its character is soft, smooth, and full-bodied, with the dense, powdery richness of natural vanillin complemented by delicate smoky, phenolic, and slightly animalic facets. As it develops, it unfolds into a long-lasting, enveloping sweetness with elegant resinous amber undertones.

Use in Perfume Composition

Vanilla absolute is primarily used in the base note, where it serves as both a fixative and a gourmand enhancer in oriental, floral, and amber fragrance compositions.
