The Fragrance

Petitgrain has a fresh, green, citrusy-aromatic profile with subtly tart and woody-foliage facets. The top note is reminiscent of crushed bitter orange leaves and young twigs, accompanied by subtle floral hints of neroli. Petitgrain is primarily used in top to heart notes and serves as an essential source of freshness and structure in citrus, fougère, and cologne compositions. It harmoniously blends citrus top notes with floral heart accords and woody, musky base notes. Its green, aromatic facets lend compositions transparency and naturalness. Petitgrain oil is used in Florascent fragrances such as Kyoto and Shibui.
