MYRTLE Aroma Spray
Botanical name: Myrtus communis
Extraction: Myrtle oil is obtained through steam distillation of the fresh leaves.
Origin: Tunisia
The Fragrance
Tunisian myrtle oil is characterized by a clear, green-aromatic, and pleasantly fresh fragrance profile. The fragrance opens with a cool, clean, and slightly eucalyptus-like note, featuring subtle herbaceous nuances and a balsamic purity. As it develops, its soft, slightly sweet, and woody character emerges, lending the fragrance a transparent, harmonious, and elegant structure.
Use in Perfume Composition
Myrtle oil is used in both the top and heart notes and serves as a green freshness modulator in aromatic-woody and floral fragrance compositions. It harmoniously blends citrus top notes with herbaceous heart accords and warm woody bases. Myrtle oil lends the composition clarity, lightness, and a natural freshness. Myrtle oil is used in Florascent fragrances such as Nuoro, Le Mec, Mastix, and other Florascent perfume compositions.
Aromatology
Myrtle oil is known for its calming and clarifying effects. It is used to address stress and inner restlessness. For a balancing and liberating blend, myrtle can be combined with, for example, eucalyptus and lavender.
