Use in Perfume Composition

Mexican lime oil is primarily used in top notes, where it acts as a highly volatile fresh and uplifting accord in citrus, aquatic, and aromatic fragrance structures. At the opening of a composition, it enhances the fragrance’s diffusion and impact, lending it radiance, freshness, and dynamism. At the same time, it facilitates harmonious transitions to aromatic heart notes and soft, musky base notes. Eucalyptus oil is used in Florascent fragrances such as Rose & Tonic, Thé Vert, Olong, and other Florascent perfume compositions.

Aromatology

Lime oil is known for its invigorating and mood-lifting effects. It is used to address mental exhaustion, listlessness, and lack of concentration. For an energizing blend, lime can be combined with grapefruit and peppermint, for example.
