The Fragrance

Spanish cistus absolute is characterized by a deep, amber-like, and resinous-leathery fragrance profile with exceptional depth. The fragrance opens with warm, balsamic notes, accompanied by honey-like, herbaceous, and subtly tobacco-like facets. As it develops, animalic, slightly smoky, and dry-resinous nuances unfold, lending the absolute an intense, multi-layered, and particularly full-bodied character.

Use in Perfume Compositions

Cistus Absolute is primarily used in the heart and base notes, lending depth and character to chypre, oriental, and woody fragrance compositions. With its amber-like, resinous, and leathery facets, it provides greater structure, warmth, and a long-lasting base. It often forms the foundation of dark, mysterious fragrance accords. Spanish rockrose absolute is used in Florascent fragrances such as Ksar, Bahou, Macabah, and many other perfume compositions.
