CEDARWOOD Aroma Spray

Botanical name: Cedrus atlantica

Extraction: Atlas cedar oil is obtained through steam distillation of the wood.

Origin: Morocco

The Fragrance

Moroccan cedarwood oil is characterized by a dry, elegant, and finely textured woody signature. Its scent combines balsamic-aromatic depth with subtle resinous, slightly smoky, and earthy facets. The finish reveals a warm, dry woody base with a subtle leathery nuance that lends the scent calm, stability, and elegance.

Use in Perfume Compositions

Moroccan cedarwood oil is primarily used in the heart and base notes, where it lends structure and depth to woody, chypre, fougère, and oriental fragrance compositions. It acts as a natural fixative, enhances the fragrance’s longevity, and harmoniously blends floral heart notes with amber or musky base notes. A well-known example is Terre d’Hermès by Hermès. Moroccan cedarwood oil is used in Florascent fragrances such as Ksar, Bahou, Red Incense, and many other perfume compositions.

Aromatherapy

Cedarwood oil is known for its grounding and calming effects. It is used to address stress, mental overload, and inner restlessness. For a relaxing aroma blend, cedarwood can be combined with lavender and frankincense.
