BASIL Aroma Spray

The Fragrance
Basil oil (linalool type) exhibits a green-aromatic, slightly anise-like, and peppery-fresh signature with a fresh, spicy clove note. The top note is bright, sharply defined, and energetic; as the scent develops, sweet, herbaceous tones reminiscent of cloves emerge, along with subtle balsamic nuances and a dry structure.
Use in Perfume Compositions
Basil is used particularly in top and heart notes and serves as an aromatic bridge in fougère-like and fresh-aromatic compositions. It connects citrus top notes with herbaceous heart notes and woody bases. A well-known example is Diorella by Dior. Basil oil is used in Florascent fragrances such as Citronnier, Velvet Blossom, and other Florascent perfume compositions.
Aromatology
Basil oil is known for its clarifying and concentration-enhancing effects. Areas of application include mental exhaustion and stress. For an invigorating blend, basil, rosemary, and lemon can be combined, for example.
